Justice Sandra Day O'Connor Civics Education Act

EOC or End of Course assessments are computer-based, criterion-referenced assessments that measure the  Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS) for specific courses, as outlined in their course descriptions. This is a state mandated assessment that all 7th graders are required to take.

Each school year, each student’s performance on the end-of-course assessment in civics education must constitute 30 percent of the student’s final course grade.
